Obituary for Yolanda Pioli
Waterloo – Yolanda Pioli, 95, formerly of Waterloo, NY and Savannah, NY, passed away on Thursday (March 30, 2017) at Mayo Rehabilitation & Continuing Care, Northfield, Vermont.
Family and friends may call at the Doran Funeral Home, 30 Center St., Waterloo on Saturday (May 13, 2017) from 10:30 AM to 12:15 PM followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 1 PM at St. Mary’s Church, Waterloo, with Reverend James Fennessy, Pastor, as celebrant. Burial will follow in St. Mary’s Cemetery in Waterloo.

Yolanda was born in Waterloo, NY on July 22, 1921, the daughter of the late Leonardo & Rose Helen DelPapa Soprano. She was a veteran of World War II, serving in the U.S. Army. After serving, she was employed by the former Acme United Supermarket of Waterloo. She had resided most of her life in Waterloo and had also spent many years in Florida with her late husband, Peter. Most recently she resided in Vermont. She was a member of St. Mary’s Church, Waterloo.
She is survived by: One daughter, Patricia (Dennis) Smith of both Essex Junction, Vermont & Venice, Florida; four grandchildren, Kimberly (Barry) Sanborn, Jeffrey (Heather) Smith, Lynn (Dean) Habbestad, Michele (Dean) Emmons; seven great grandchildren, Taylor, Morgan, & Madison Sanborn, Alexis & Stella Smith, Grady & Luke Emmons; one sister, Beatrice Price of Mooresville, North Carolina; and several nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents, Yolanda was predeceased by her husband, Peter J. Pioli who died September 4, 2011, one daughter; Donna Lee Pioli, three sisters; Laura DiMillo, Mary Manganaro, and Lucille DiSanto, and two brothers; James & Alfred Soprano.
