Condolence From: Bob Kastraveckas
Condolence: I met Dave in 1980 when I lived in Waterloo. We hit it off right away and went trapping, hunting and fishing together.
I lived near the Adirondacks and called him a Greenhorn while I was the Nimrod. In 1982 I moved back but we still hunted and fished both in the Adirondacks and Finger Lakes.
As time went on we saw less of each other yet we kept up a tradition of giving each other trinkets that we claimed were from our ancestors...dumb but fun for us.

Knowing Dave made my life fuller...I just wish I would have realized how much before his passing.

Dave-when next we'll be the Nimrod and I'll be the Greenhorn.

Until then...keep your powder dry Flatlander.

Condolence From: Tony and Bev Piscitelli
So sorry to hear the news about Dave. He will be missed greatly by all who knew him.

Tony, my husband and Dave shared a lot of stories about their fishing and going to basketball games together.

Tony once told me that him and Dave went fishing and took Dave's daughters with them. So on the way home, Dave told Tony (who doesn't have kids) he needed to stop and get the girls French fries. So they did. Well on the way home, the girls spilled their French fries in the back seat of Tony's car. Dave never heard the end of that one.

Special thoughts and prayers to Dave's daughters and grandchildren.

Sincerely Bev and Tony Piscitelli

Condolence: Dave thanks for all your help over the years! You always hooked a brother up at Goulds. I know what a grandparent is and you were truly one of the best. You will be missed!!

Condolence: I first met Dave 14 years ago, when I interviewed at Goulds, and he was in on the interview – his only question of me was if I could cook, and I would soon find out what a “Doof” day was, and how much he enjoyed them! I will miss “Dave Peterson’s Peanut Butter Pie”!
Dave made work fun, no matter what it was we were doing. Everyone knew Dave – he was like a Mayor on the campus.
I remember when he finally got to buy his Harley – after I bought my bike, a group of riders would head out for a ride down to Mac’s for lunch – Fun Times!
It was a great loss for Goulds when Dave had to leave, and I was asked if I knew how he was doing – that’s how unforgettable he was!
Through all of his trials & tribulations, Dave always said he had out-lived the time that Doctor’s had given him. Still, his passing came as a shock to all of us. The world was a better place with Dave in it – Rest in Peace, my friend.

Condolence: Dave was in IT when I met him in 2009. I had transferred from our Ashland facility, and he welcomed me (and other transferees) with great hospitality. I remember having a computer problem, and he invited me to stay for tea. He loved tea. As others have said, he was very kind. I had hoped for so long that he would be able to have a heart transplant, and become more healthy. This is a great loss to us all. Miss you so much, and sorry for your family and very close friends.
