Domenic was born in Seneca Falls, NY on January 31, 1933 the son of the late Domenic & Teresa Antonio Caraccilo Sr. “Carts” was a lifelong resident of Seneca Falls and had served in the U.S. Army during the Korean War. He was retired from Gould’s Pumps where he was employed for 25 years. Carts dedicated himself to both his family and the community. He coached both Junior Football and Little League Baseball and served as Town Councilman. He was a member of Kirk-Casey Post #366 American Legion, the S.M.S. and St. Patricks’ Church.

His life was highlighted with athletic achievements from his days at Mynderse Academy where he was a Varsity Athlete and Co-Captain of the Football and Baseball teams. As a member of the Varsity Baseball team, he helped to lead Mynderse to their first Section 5 Championship in the school’s history. In 2010, Domenic was inducted into the Mynderse Academy Hall of Fame for Football and Baseball.

Domenic attended Morrisville College graduating in 1954, where he again played both Football and Baseball earning him MVP status in both sports.
