SENECA FALLS - Aaron Ray Wise, 67, of Seneca Falls passed away peacefully Wednesday (December 22, 2021) at 8:50 p.m. at his home.
He was the husband of Elizabeth Ann Martin, whom he married September 27, 1975 in Martindale Pa. Born on March 18, 1954 in Kleinfeltersville, Pa., he was the son of the late Aaron G. and Edna M. Wise. He was a lifelong farmer, moving from Parkesburg, Pa. to NY in 1980. He was a member of Fayette Mennonite Church, Town of Fayette.
In addition to his wife Elizabeth, he is survived by six children, Aaron Darnell and Cynthia (Horst) Wise of Waterloo, E. Lavonne and Cleason Martin of Lyons, Steven and Martha (High) Wise of Port Byron, Louene and Glen Weiler of Phelps, Sheryl and Jonathan Reiff of Waterloo, and Arlyn and Krista (Martin) Wise of Seneca Falls; also survived are 41 grandchildren; Aaron Ray is survived by brothers, Nelson and Arlene Wise of Seneca Falls, Ervin and Velma Wise, Harold and Wilma Wise, and Maynard and Lorraine Wise, all of Lebanon Pa.; and sisters, Amanda and John Zimmerman of Waterloo, Esther Mae of Lebanon Pa., Minerva and Norman Snyder of Livingston Wis., Thelma and the late John David Zimmerman of Romulus and Arlene and Paul Weaver of Stevens Pa.
Family and friends may call Monday (December 27) from 2 p.m. to 4 p.m. and 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. at the Fingerlakes Fellowship Center, 3403 Route 414 Seneca Falls.
Funeral services will be held Tuesday (December 28) at 9:30 a.m. at Fayette Mennonite Church, 2233 Yellow Tavern Rd. Waterloo. Interment will be in Fayette Mennonite cemetery, Town of Fayette. Officiating ministry, Bishop David Zimmerman, and Preachers John Sauder, Daryl Hurst and Mervin Lamar Hurst.
