Seneca Falls - Ann E. "Annie" (DeJohn) Giese, 88, formerly of Maple St., Seneca Falls, NY, passed away on Tuesday (January 30, 2018) at Wayne County Nursing Home, Lyons, NY. Family and friends may call from 4 PM to 6 PM, Monday (February 5) at the Doran Funeral Home, 4 E. Bayard St, Seneca Falls, followed by a funeral service at 6 PM at the funeral home with Reverend Michael Merritt of St. Patrick's Church, Seneca Falls, officiating. Burial will be in St. Columbkille Cemetery, Seneca Falls, at the convenience of the family. If desired, contributions may be made to the: Memory Care Unit, Wayne County Nursing Home, 1529 Nye Rd., Lyons, NY 14489. Ann was born in Clyde, NY on September 30, 1929 the daughter of the late Frank & Jennie Wolcott DeJohn. She was one of seven children. She resided, most of her life, in Seneca Falls. In her earlier years she worked at the Newark State School as well as working at the former Seneca Knitting Mill of Seneca Falls. She then married Flavian Giese & became a homemaker. Ann & Flavian loved taking care of various children of family and close friends. She was an avid reader and enjoyed collecting anything "Kennedy". Ann was also known for a good game of poker or euchre. She was a life member of the Kirk-Casey Post #366 American Legion of Seneca Falls. She is survived by her daughter, Susan Giese (Veronica Wemes) of Seneca Falls, 1 sister, Dolores Church of Clyde, NY, her grandchildren, Tanya (Tim Pagano) (Bush) Tyler, Ricky (Lisa Coon) Bush, Tricia (James) Bertino, her great - grandchildren, Brandon Dicicco, Madison Tyler, Mikayla, Jenna, Jayson, & Lyla Bush, & Bonnie Bertino, several nieces and nephews, her extended family, Cindy (Rogers) Ryan, & Chris (Rogers) Budd. In addition to her parents, Ann was predeceased by her husband, Flavian, her sisters, Almeda Quagliata, Thelma Vitticore, Mary "Peggy" Cator, Flora Quagliata, & her brother, Frank "Buzzy" DeJohn.
