Anne M. Marsella, 87, lifelong resident of Seneca Falls passed away on Saturday morning (January 30, 2016) peacefully in her sleep, at The Seneca Nursing & Rehabilitation Center in Waterloo, N.Y. Family and friends may call at the Doran Funeral Home, 4 E. Bayard St., Seneca Falls on Friday (February 19th) from 4:00 to 7:00 p.m. Anne's Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Saturday (February 20th) at 11AM at St. Patrick's Church, Seneca Falls with Reverend James Fennessy, Pastor, as Celebrant. Burial will follow in St. Columbkille Cemetery, Seneca Falls. If desired, contributions may be made to St. Patrick's Church, 25 Center St., Waterloo, N.Y., 13165 or to the charity of one's choice. Her loved ones will remember her as a classy and stylish lady, loving mother, grandmother, great grandmother and wife with a special fondness for little children and growing flowers, clearly displaying her love through the beautiful gardens and meals she created for family. They will miss her dearly. She was the daughter of Michael & Fecfie Gaciny Chuley and was born March 12th, 1928 in Seneca Falls, N.Y. She was a member of St. Patrick's Church and was well recognized at Mass every Sunday for over 60 years in her favorite pew with her husband Tom, whom she married on July 2, 1949. As a telephone operator in her younger years, stay at home wife and mother, religious education teacher, Girl Scout leader, then later a court attendant at the Seneca County Court House, she dedicated her life to serving others. Upon their retirement, Anne and Tom spent many winters in Florida with several special friends, traveled to Italy, cruised the Caribbean, and traveled throughout the US. Anne is survived by children, Thomas (Mitchell Horowitz) Marsella of San Francisco Calif., Patricia (Phillip) Marsella-Herrick of Geneva, Kathleen Marsella of Union Springs, and Ronald (Annie) Marsella of Houston, Texas; grandchildren, Alison (Jessamy) Childers Uticone, Brian and Kevin Herrick, Leah (Robert) Brashear, and Thomas Marsella, great-grandchildren, James and Bransen Uticone, as well as Cecilia and Ryder Brashear; and several nieces, nephews and cousins. She was predeceased, in addition to her parents, by her husband Thomas on September 7, 2015, brother, George Chuley and two sisters, Catherine Chuley, and Fannie Krantz.
