Bettylee Gee

September 20, 1944 — July 7, 2024

Seneca Falls

It is with great sadness that the family of Bettylee Gee announce her unexpected passing on July 7th, 2024 at Geneva General Hospital. A celebration of her life will be held at a later date. Following Bettylee's desire to help others, donations in memory may be directed to the Seneca County House of Concern at houseofconcern.org.

Bettylee was born on Sampson Naval Base in Romulus, NY, the daughter of the late Donald and Betty M. (Lane) Gee. She grew up in Seneca Falls and graduated from Mynderse Academy, Class of 1962. She attended Rochester's Continental School of Beauty where she received her certification to be a hairstylist. She ran a few different salons in Seneca Falls but was known best for her time owning Hair Impressions by Betty Lee. In the early 90's she relocated to Cheyenne, WY where she ran a salon called Kountry Klippers. Her entrepreneurial spirit took off and her customer base really grew, resulting in a full service salon with a great group of ladies working alongside her and many happy customers. In the early 2000's, Bettylee hung up her scissors and returned to Seneca Falls to enjoy the Finger Lakes, her grandchildren and retirement. One of the ways she kept herself busy during the early days of her retirement was as a volunteer at the Seneca County House of Concern.

Bettylee was always known for her bubbly personality and her timeless good looks. While she never got into modeling, her beauty secured a runner up position for Ms. Seneca Falls at one of the first Seneca Falls Aqua Festivals. One of her most favorite things to do was spend time with her family and close friends. During her time in Cheyenne, she loved to dance, and could often be found at Jack & Gloria Horn's Cowboy South dancing the night away with the Smokin Boots. Most recently, she enjoyed getting her family together over some of her home cooking. Some family favorites were her chicken noodle soup, apple crisp and homemade sauce. While she enjoyed getting all of her family together, especially with her granddaughters, she truly cherished her date nights with her granddaughter, Nicole.

Bettylee is survived by her sons, Nicholas (fiancé, Kristina Kinsman), John S. Bonacci; daughter, Stephanie (Daniel) Incarnato; granddaughters, Tasha, Madison, Nicole; great-granddaughter, Isabell; brother, Donald G. (Donna) Gee; stepbrothers, Todd and Brian Gee; several nieces and nephews and extended family. In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by her sister, Juanita (Delmar) Brink.
