Brenda Silva

Brenda Silva, 64, most recently of Waterloo, and previously of Middletown, NY, passed at Strong Memorial Hospital in Rochester, surrounded by the love of her family, after a long courageous battle with cancer. All services are private, held at the convenience of her family. She will be laid to rest in St. Mary’s Cemetery in Waterloo.

Brenda was born in Patterson, NJ, daughter of Rafael and Julia (Perales) Delgado. After many years together, Brenda was united in marriage with Eduardo Silva Sr., on July 2nd, 1998. One to always put her family first, Brenda enjoyed staying home and raising her children, while Eduardo worked to provide for his family. She loved to maintain a warm and welcoming home and enjoyed trying new interior designs to keep things looking fresh. She also enjoyed shopping, but not just for herself. She loved to buy for her family and shower them with gifts, both big and small.

Always a loving mother and grandmother, Brenda’s family knew they would always be welcomed into her arms with a warm embrace and a nurturing touch. She was the epitome of the word wife and mother. Not only was she selfless, but she was also so strong. Never one to complain, even during her battle with cancer, Brenda was more concerned with the well-being of her family than she was with her own comfort. She was the bedrock of her family and a true Superwoman. She will be missed dearly by her family and close friends.

Brenda is survived by the love of her life, her husband, Eduardo Sr.; sons, Eduardo Jr. (fiancé, Jihan Jerez) and Eric Silva; daughter, Shirley (fiancé, Hector Diaz) Silva; six grandchildren, Keana, Jada, Destiny, Julissa, Ericka, Cassius; one great-grandson, Kaison; brothers, Ricky, Ferdinand, and Papo Delgado; and several nephews. She was predeceased by her mother, Julia (Perales) Delgado.
