Carolyn Marie DeChick

Seneca Falls: Passed away unexpectedly on Friday, February 19th, 2021. Visitation will be held on Sunday, February 28th, from 3 - 5 PM at Doran Funeral Home, 4 East Bayard St., Seneca Falls. A Funeral Mass will take place on Monday, March 1st at 10 AM at St. Patrick's Church, 97 West Bayard St., Seneca Falls. Interment, St. Columbkille Cemetery, Seneca Falls. Donations in memory may be made to Beverly Animal Shelter, Waterloo.

Carolyn was born November 21st, 1968, the daughter of Larry and Danielle (Ashley) DeChick. Carolyn worked for many years for Community Action & Self Help in Lyons, where she enjoyed working with her clients. Not only did she have a big heart when it came to the needs of her work clients, but she also loved animals. She enjoyed crafting, reading, going to the beach, and attending concerts, especially 80's bands. Carolyn's biggest joy in life was spending time with her beloved grandson, Alex.

She is survived by her children, Daniel (Brandi Teeter) and Gabrielle Kesel; adored grandson, Alex Kesel; parents, Larry and Danielle DeChick; brother, Stephen (Nicole) DeChick, nephew, Jacob DeChick; niece, Allyea DeChick; her boyfriend of 2 years, Chris Hayes and his daughter, Alexis Hayes; canine companion of 11 years, Doozer, as well as many extended family and friends. Carolyn is predeceased by her grandparents, Stella and Daniel Ashley; her Aunt and Godmother, Mary Rose Traub; and her Uncle, David Ashley.
