Charles R. Bowman

Charles R. Bowman Jr., age 80, of Tyre, passed away unexpectedly at his home on Saturday, March 19th, 2022. Services will be held at the convenience of the family.

Charles was born in Springport, NY, the son of the late Charles and Doris (Campbell) Bowman. He was a lifelong resident of the Seneca Falls area where he enjoyed many outdoor activities. He worked for many local businesses but was most known for his years at Klionsky Scrap Iron & Metal until they closed, where he was known for his incredible physical strength. He loved to hunt and fish as well as be in his garden. It didn't matter what it was, if he was outdoors, he was happy. Charles had a big heart when it came to animals as well. He always made it a point to feed and care for the cats that lived near his house.

He is survived by his daughters, Mary Ridley, Lisa Moss, and Doris J. Bowman; sons, Charles (Rachael) Bowman and Richard Crannell; grandchildren, Jeremy, Nahkeeta, Jason (Stephanie), Korbin, Charlie; 6 great grandchildren; brothers, Edward and Jake Bowman; sister, Charlotte Oberempt, as well as several nieces and nephews and extended family. In addition to his parents, he was predeceased by his brothers, Robert, David, Don, and Mervin Bowman, and James West.
