Seneca Falls - Dale I. Larson, 72, passed away, unexpectedly, in Seneca Falls, NY on Monday, August 17, 2020.
A graveside service for Dale, with military honors, will be held on Friday, September 4th at 2pm at Sampson Veterans Cemetery. This is a public service and all attending must wear a mask and adhere to social distancing recommendations set forth by the state of New York.
Dale was born in Stanwood, Washington on January 6, 1948 the son of the late Maynard & Ella (Anderson) Larson. He was currently residing in Miramar, Florida and was in Seneca Falls with plans to move back. Dale was a U.S. Army veteran, serving during the Vietnam War. He was a member of the Lt. Cyrus Garnsey Post VFW and the Kirk-Casey Post American Legion, both of Seneca Falls, NY. Dale was always there during the holiday season cooking for those less fortunate. He loved to fish and was referred to as the "bugman" while working 25+ years at the Seneca Army Depot, Romulus, NY.
He is survived by:
His daughter(s) - Sara Larson - Miramar, Florida
Angela (Jim) Wells - Phelps, New York
His son(s) - Joseph (Andrea) Larson - Miami, Florida
Mark Lankford, Auburn, New York
His grandchildren - Giovanni Larson, Adrian Larson, Mila Larson, Olivia Larson, and Danielle Cotten
His former wife and close friend - Carol Smith - Sunrise, Florida
In addition to his parents, Dale was predeceased by his brother, Wayne Larson who passed in March of 2020.
