Seneca Falls - Edward F. Lopez, 66, of Toledo St., Seneca Falls, NY, died Thursday (April 26, 2012) at Strong Memorial Hospital, Rochester, NY after a seven year battle with Leukemia. Family and friends will be received at the Doran Funeral Home, 4 E. Bayard St., Seneca Falls, on Sunday (April 29) from 6 -8 PM. A Memorial Mass will be celebrated on Monday (April 30) at 10 AM at St. Patrick's Church, Seneca Falls, with Reverend James Fennessy, Pastor, as celebrant. Burial will be in Sampson Veterans Cemetery, Romulus, NY, at the convenience of the family. In lieu of flowers, contributions can be made in memory of Ed to: James P. Wilmot Cancer Center, University of Rochester Medical Center, P. O. Box 23029, Rochester, NY 14692-9804. Ed was born in Seneca Falls, NY on August 19, 1945 the son of the late Louis & Josephine "Jessie" Piscitelli Lopez. He was a life resident of Seneca Falls. He served in the U.S. Army during the Viet Nam War and was the recipient of the Silver Star. He was retired from Gould's Pumps of Seneca Falls where he was Senior Purchasing Agent. He had been employed by the Seneca Clothing Co. of Seneca Falls for many years. He was a member of St. Patrick's Church, Seneca Falls. As his boys were growing up, he was involved in the Little League Program as their coach. He loved to golf, hunt, fish and really enjoyed his casino trips.
