Elaine Granger Ritter, of Gravel Rd., passed away at her home on Tuesday, October 15th, 2024. Elaine’s wishes were to be cremated and for no prior calling hours. A memorial service will be held at 11 AM at the First Presbyterian Church of Seneca Falls, 23 Cayuga St, on Tuesday, October 22nd, which she was an active member of. In lieu of flowers, please make donations to the First Presbyterian Church in Elaine’s name.

Elaine was born on March 30th, 1947, the daughter of the former Aldon Warner Granger and Edna Somerville Granger Preston. She graduated from Romulus Central School in 1965.

Elaine spent most of her life in the Seneca County area and worked in many office settings, from W.T. Grant and Co. to Don Ritter Inc. She did it all from the basic filings to keeping the books for the family business. Donald and Elaine not only ran the company, but Elaine also designed many of the houses that Donald built over the years. Elaine’s last position was Clerk of Session for the Presbyterian Church.

Elaine is survived by her daughters, Tama Walker and Kara Hooper; sons, Scott (Cherie) Walker and Craig (Charlene) Hooper; step-daughters, Robin (Bill) Patalon and Samantha Ritter; grandchildren, Heather, Sara, Gary, Joey, Alexandria, and Kayla; many great-grandchildren; sisters, Karen (Thomas) Thomson and Judy Jones; brother, Peter (Sonna) Neumiester, several nieces and nephews and extended family. She was predeceased by her husband, Donald; father, Aldon; mother, Edna; step-daughter, Ann; brothers, Gordon and Darrell.
