Waterloo, NY - Frances W. Nash, 97 of Keli Dr., Waterloo, NY, died Thursday (October 17, 2013) at Geneva General Hospital, Geneva, NY. Funeral services and burial will be held in Salamanca, NY at the convenience of the family. There will be no prior calling hours. Frances was born in Plymouth, MA. on February 22, 1916 the daughter of the late Herman W. & Laura (Morton) Hall. She was a direct descendant of Miles Standish. She was a graduate of Framingham Union Hospital in Massachusetts. Her nursing career spanned from the Jodan Hospital in Plymouth, MA. To Cook County Hospital in Chicago, ILL, to her final 20 years as head nurse at Salamanca District Hospital, retiring in 1985. She married Clarence H. Nash Jr. on November 20, 1943 and they celebrated 69 years together, most of them in Salamanca, following Clarence's discharge from the U.S. Army. She was a member of United Methodist Congregationalist Church, Salamanca, NY & the Nurses Association in Salamanca, NY. She is survived by: 1 daughter - Carolyn "Carrie" Osborn - Waterloo, NY 1 son - Dr. David B. (Patricia) Nash M.D. - Canfield, Ohio 5 grandchildren - Stephanie (Steven) Winnek, David W., Brian, Amy, & Jacob Nash 2 great grandchildren - Steven & Spencer Winnek 2 sisters - Lillian Knowles - Plymouth, MA. Barbara Brenner - Plymouth, MA. Her son-in-law - Charles (Teresa) Wheeler - Westfield, NY Several nieces and nephews and her many additional relatives from both, Massachusetts & Tennessee In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by her husband, Clarence H. Nash Jr. who died December 1, 2012, 1 daughter, Christine F. Wheeler, 1 sister, Eleanor Holmes, & 2 brothers, Norman Hall & Herman W. Hall III.
