Gloria Jean (Dragone) Marciano

Gloria Jean Marciano, daughter of the late Frank and Chiara Dragone, passed away February 16, 2024. Viewing hours will be Friday, March 1 from 5-7 PM at Doran Funeral Home, 4 East Bayard St., Seneca Falls. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Saturday, March 2 at 11 AM at St. Patrick's Church, 97 West Bayard St., Seneca Falls. Burial to follow at St. Columbkille Cemetery.

Gloria was born on November 22, 1931 in Seneca Falls and spent all of her life in the town. She was an active and engaging person who shined in all she did. She attended Mynderse Academy and graduated with honors. Following graduation, she worked at Goulds Pumps as a Draftsperson for over 25 years and retired. She met her husband Frederick Marciano and married in 1956. They raised three children. Gloria was a great mother who supported her children in their endeavors but also raised them to be respectful as well as strong individuals. Gloria and Fred traveled extensively both domestically and internationally. Gloria had a passion for cooking and continued on with the Italian culinary traditions instilled in her by her mother and siblings. Gloria’s priority was taking care of her family, always putting their needs first before her own. Gloria’s Catholic faith ran deep. She kept God in her heart and in her family throughout her life.

Gloria is survived by three children; Mary Marciano, Dr. Frederick (Carol) Marciano, and Steve (Pat) Marciano; thirteen grandchildren, eleven great-grandchildren, many nieces and nephews, and close friends. In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by her loving husband Frederick Marciano; sisters Laura, Grace, Annie, Jane, Yolanda; and brother, John.

The family would like to thank Geneva North Living Center staff for the care shown to Gloria the last few months.

Gloria will be missed dearly.
