Harlan R. Wenger, 56, of 1550 Yale Farm Rd. Romulus, N.Y. passed away peacefully on September 1, 2023, at his home with his family at his bedside after a 6 month battle with cancer.
The burial service will be at 9:30 a.m., Tuesday (September 5) in the Fayette Mennonite Church Cemetery, 2233 Yellow Tavern Rd. Waterloo, NY 13165 and funeral services to follow at Rose Hill Mennonite Church, 4206 MacDougall Rd. Waterloo, NY 13165. Calling hours will be Monday (September 4) 2 p.m. to 4 p.m. and 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. at the Finger Lakes Fellowship Center, 3403 State Route 414, Seneca Falls, NY 13148.
Harlan was born November 29, 1966, in Ephrata, Pa. to Martin and Verna (Rutt) Wenger. He was an electrician and will be greatly missed by his family.
Harlan is survived by his wife, Sandra J. (Sensenig) Wenger, whom he married August 7, 1993, in Seneca Falls N.Y.; his children, Martin and Rosene Wenger, Geneva, Stephen Wenger, Romulus, Landis and Lorene Wenger, Newark, John and Eli Wenger, both of Romulus; one grandchild, Kordell Wenger; his parents, Martin and Verna (Rutt) Wenger, Ephrata Pa.; his siblings, Linda and Bryan Zimmerman, Booneville, Mo., Brenda and Timothy Martin, Denver, Pa., Karen and Cleon Horst, New Holland, Pa., Marlene and Kenneth Horst, Litiz, Pa., Kenneth and Emma Jane Wenger, Sauk Centre, Minn., Ronald and Thelma Wenger, Ephrata, Pa., Carl and Janelle Wenger, Ephrata, Pa., Ruthann and Nathan Fox, Riceville, Iowa, Galen and Jalisa Wenger, Stevens, Pa., Rosene and Anthony Wise, Denver, Pa.; many nieces and nephews; and his wife's parents, John and Elma Sensenig, Romulus.
He was predeceased by a daughter, Elizabeth S. Wenger, age 15, on March 15, 2016.
