Seneca Falls - Harry D. Dickenson, 89 of State Route 414, Town of Fayette, NY, passed away on Wednesday (December 7, 2016) at Geneva General Hospital, Geneva, NY. Family and friends may attend Harry's graveside service on Wednesday (December 14) at 11 AM at Fayette Rural Cemetery, Route 414, Town of Fayette, NY with Reverend James Fennessy, Pastor of St. Patrick's Church, Seneca Falls, officiating. There will be no prior calling hours. If desired, contributions may be made to the Seneca County Chapter of the American Red Cross, 83 W. Bayard St., Seneca Falls, NY 13148. Harry was born in Rockingham, Virginia on December 18, 1926 the son of the late Harry W. & Maddie Dickenson. He had been a resident of New York State since 1939. He was retired from the Town of Fayette Highway Department and he had previously owned and operated his own farm, Dickenson Farm in the Town of Fayette. He enjoyed puttering with mechanical engines and anything else mechanical. He is survived by: 1 daughter - Laura Dickenson - Fayette, NY 5 sons - Harry Dickenson - Fayette, NY John (Rhonda) Dickenson - Fayette, NY Edward (Christi) Dickenson - South Carolina Douglas (Charlene) Dickenson - Fayette, NY Christopher Dickenson - Fayette, NY 8 grandchildren & 6 great grandchildren Several nieces and nephews In addition to his parents, Harry was predeceased by his wife, Phyllis M. Dickenson who died May 3, 2011, his son, Joseph W. Dickenson who died March 20, 2015, 2 brothers, Roy & Weldon, & 2 sisters, Erma & Mertle.
