Jerry A. Arsenault

Seneca Falls: Jerry "Big Jer" Arsenault, age 67, of Leland Dr. in Seneca Falls, passed away unexpectedly at Geneva General Hospital on Friday, April 15th, 2022. Family and friends will gather on Thursday, April 21st from 5 - 7 PM, with a funeral service to immediately follow at Doran Funeral Home, 4 East Bayard St., Seneca Falls. In lieu of flowers, donations in memory may be made to Beverly Animal Shelter, 50 East River St., Waterloo, NY 13165.

Jerry was born in Boston, MA to the late Gerald and Eva (Jenny) Arsenault. Big Jer began his career in the hospitality field as a sous chef, and eventually worked his way to General Manager for various local hotels, including the Holiday Inn in Waterloo, Hilton Garden Inn in Ithaca, and the Gould Hotel in Seneca Falls. He and his wife, Kathy, moved to the Seneca Falls area in 2001 from Gainesville, FL and have called the area home ever since. Jerry was very much a motorcycle enthusiast who owned many over the years and enjoyed riding. He was known for his culinary skills, keeping his lawn looking good, and was a huge Florida Gators fan. Above all else, Jerry enjoyed spending time with his family and close friends.

He is survived by his wife of 30 years, Kathy; son, Jerry J. "JJ" (fiancé Tara Emery); daughters, Brittany (Anthony) Bachman and Nicole (Zach) Simolo; grandchildren, Noah, Soma, and Cecelia; brother, Donny (Tina); beloved dog and best friend, Bullwinkle, as well as many extended family and friends. In addition to his parents, Jerry was predeceased by his brother Fred, and sisters, Nancy and Melody.
