Jessica M. Churchill

Jessica Churchill, 41, passed peacefully after losing her battle with cancer on November 30, 2024. Calling hours will be held on Wednesday, December 18 from 2:00 till 4:00, with a funeral service to follow at Doran Funeral Home, 4 East Bayard St., Seneca Falls. Jess, as she was known to her family and friends, was the eldest daughter of Steve and Valerie Churchill of Seneca Falls. Jessica is survived by her parents and her children, Jada and Marianna Siders, Neal and Kaisha Brooker, and little Walter Russ. She also leaves behind her sisters, Jamie (Chris) Lyon and Jennifer (John) Kalenian, brother, Joshua (Ashley) Churchill, many aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces and nephews as well as her loving Godmother, Kathy Richardson.

Jess was a very strong and independent soul. Being the oldest of four siblings, she was the leader of the band. As a young girl she loved sports. She played softball and basketball and was a member of the 2001 Mynderse girls basketball team, which claimed the Section V Title that year. She became a Certified Basketball Referee while in High School and refereed local CYO and Youth basketball games. She also loved everything about the Olympics and cherished family visits to Lake Placid. Jess was always a hard worker and spent most of her work career as a retail clerk and store manager at various local stores. Life was not always easy for Jess, but she had a strong spirit and always did all she could to ensure that her children were loved and taken care of.

Jess will be dearly missed by all of us who remain behind, but we find comfort in knowing that she is now in the loving arms of so many family members who’ve been waiting to greet her!
