John W. Spano, 66, of Fayette, passed away on January 5, 2023.
A private service with military honors will be held at the convenience of the family.
In lieu of flowers, donations in memory may be made to a charity of one's choice.
John was a lifelong resident of Seneca Falls/Fayette, and a graduate of Mynderse Academy, Class of 1974. He served his country proudly as an Aircraft Maintenance Specialist in the United States Air Force. He was the Transportation Supervisor for both Romulus Central School and Seneca Falls Central School until he started JNT's Gas Station in Seneca Falls.
John was a lifetime member of the Canoga Sportsman's Club. He enjoyed hunting with his son and close friends and spending time with his grandchildren.
Surviving is his son, Nathan (Becky) Spano and daughter, Tiffany (JP) Pigman; grandchildren, Cyrus Spano and Colleen, Patrice and John Paul Pigman; fiancé, Mabel Roffe; sister, Jackie (Ricardo) LeFranc; brother-in-law and sister-in-law, Gus and BJ Garnsey; as well as several nieces and nephews, and extended family.
In addition to his parents, the late John and Melba (Faircloth) Spano, John was predeceased by his wife, Trudy (Garnsey) Spano who passed on June 29th, 2013.
