Seneca Falls - John K. Widell, 77, formerly of Hoag St, Seneca Falls, NY, passed away on Friday evening (June 9, 2017) at Seneca Nursing & Rehabilitation Center, Waterloo, NY. Family & friends may attend John's Graveside Service on Wednesday (June 14) at 11:30 AM at St. Columbkille Cemetery, Seneca Falls, with Reverend James Fennessy, Pastor of St. Patrick's Church, Seneca Falls, NY, officiating. There will be no prior calling hours. If desired, contributions may be made to Seneca Nursing & Rehabilitation Center, 200 Douglas Drive, Waterloo, NY 13165. John was born in Waterloo, NY on February 12, 1940 the son of the late Donald & Ina Marie Walsh Widell. He was a lifetime resident of the Seneca Falls-Waterloo area and had served in the U.S. Army during the Vietnam War. He was retired from Seneca Foods, Geneva, NY. John was a member of St. Patrick's Church, Seneca Falls, the Seneca Falls Knights of Columbus, Council #222, & the S.M.S. of Seneca Falls, NY. John enjoyed the El Camino cars that he had owned over the years and always looked forward to picking up a few scratch-offs. He was known to have a dry sense of humor and always was ready to deliver a good joke or two. He is survived by: 3 daughters - Pam (Bruce) Bator - Frederick, Maryland Nicole (Mark Thomas) Widell - Seneca Falls, NY Andrea (Peter) DeVivi - Waterloo, NY 2 grandchildren - Mason Bator & Ruby DeVivi 1 sister - Donna Riley - Roanoke, Virginia 3 brothers - Joseph Widell - Maine William (Cathy) Widell - Lakewood, NY Edward (Joyce) Widell - Richmond, Virginia Several nieces and nephews In addition to his parents, John was predeceased by his wife, Lois M.
