Julia was a lifelong resident of Seneca Falls, born on January 14, 1923, the daughter of the late
William and Anna (Latties) Sanderson. She graduated from Mynderse Academy in 1940 and
married her high school sweetheart, John Moreland Sr. on October 19, 1946, shortly after he
returned from the US Army in WWII. They were married for 56 years until his passing on

closer to family.

the Air Raid Warden program during WWII. After raising her 4 children she returned to work at
the Seneca Falls Library as a Librarian until she retired in 1990. During her lifetime, Julia was a
member of the K of C Auxiliary, and a member of St Patrick's Church where she volunteered
on many committees over the years. She liked to travel and visit family; she liked to knit, paint,
and was an avid reader.
