Seneca Falls - Karen S. Kriegelstein, 58, of 17 Seneca St., Seneca Falls N.Y., passed away Friday, June 22, 2012, at her residence after a long courageous battle with cancer. Family and friends may attend a funeral service for Karen on Wednesday, June 27, 2012 at 10:00 AM, at St. Patrick's Church, Bayard St. Seneca Falls, NY with Reverend James Fennessy, Pastor, officiating. Burial will be in St. Columbkille Cemetery, Seneca Falls, at the convenience of the family. There will be no prior calling hours. If desired, contributions may be made to Gollisano Children's Hospital, University of Rochester, 601 Elmwood Ave, Rochester, NY 14642. Karen was born in Waterloo, NY on August 8, 1953, the daughter of the late Elmer and Helen (Hamilton) Judson. She was a life resident of Seneca Falls and graduated from Mynderse Academy, then went on to earn her degree in nursing and was employed by Geneva Living Center North 1, Geneva NY, as a Licensed Practical Nurse. Karen Loved to cook, go shopping and crocheting. She enjoyed bowling where she was the former secretary and treasurer. Karen enjoyed her trips to Turning Stone where she would play bingo. She was a member of the Waterloo VFW and a former member of the Seneca Falls Fire Department Auxiliary. Her family and her work was the highlight of her life.
