Katherine "Kay" A. (DiRaddo) Scibona

Seneca Falls - Katherine "Kay" A. Scibona, 88 of Maynard St., Seneca Falls, NY, died peacefully on Saturday (November 17, 2012) at Rochester General Hospital, Rochester, NY, with her family by her side. Family and friends may call at the Doran Funeral Home, 4 E. Bayard St., Seneca Falls, on Tuesday (November 20, 2012) from 4 - 7 PM. Funeral services will be held on Wednesday (November 21) at 9:15 AM at the funeral home and at 10 AM at St. Patrick's Church, Seneca Falls, where a Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated by Reverend James Fennessy, Pastor. Burial will follow in St. Columbkille Cemetery, Seneca Falls. If desired, contributions may be made to St. Patrick's Church, c/o St. Patrick's Church Office, 25 Center St., Seneca Falls, NY 13148. Kay was born in Geneva, NY on December 19, 1923 the daughter of the late Jerry & Carrie Eppilito DiRaddo. She lived her adult life as a resident of Seneca Falls. She worked at G.T.E. Sylvania and the Seneca Falls School District. She retired to take care of her 2 oldest grandchildren, Jolene & Rocco. She was a member of St. Patrick‘s Church, Seneca Falls and, over the years, active in T.O.P.S. (Take Off Pounds Sensibly). She enjoyed bowling and cooking, but most of all she enjoyed her family and the time she spent with all of them. She is survived by: Her husband of 70 years, Samuel J. "Bomber" Scibona of Seneca Fall. They were married October 10, 1942. 1 daughter - Sandra Scibona - Ft. Lauderdale, Florida 3 sons - Joseph Scibona - Gilbert, Arizona Her twin sons - Jerry (Kelly) Scibona - Seneca Falls, NY Gary (Tina) Scibona - Kansas City, Missouri 8 grandchildren and 6 great grandchildren 2 sisters - Clara Dercola - Geneva, NY Genevieve Jacobs - Fairport, NY Her sister-in-law - Jeanette DiRaddo - Seneca Falls, NY Her brother-in-law - Richard (Barbara) Scibona - Seneca Falls, NY Several nieces and nephews In addition to her parents, Kay was predeceased by her brother, Michael DiRaddo and her father & Mother-in-law - Joseph & Minnie Scibona Please visit: doranfuneralhome.com
