Kathleen (Trotta) Branciforte, 71, passed away at Unity Hospital in Rochester, on Monday, January 1st, 2024 after a brief illness. She was just a few weeks short of her 72nd birthday. A Celebration of Life will be held at a later date.
Kathy was born on January 17th, 1952 at Madigan Army Medical Center in Washington, the daughter of the late Aniello "Brooklyn" and Rose (Tamburrino) Trotta. She held a BA in Liberal Arts from Eisenhower College and worked most of her life working as a paralegal for many Rochester area attorney's; with over 30 years at Lacy Katzen. In the early 80's she ran a used bookstore in downtown Seneca Falls. She was a city girl at heart but moved to Lyons in 2014 and worked a few years as office manager with Dobbins Painting and Contracting before finally retiring in 2020. On October 24th, 2015, she married Salvatore "Sal" Branciforte, and the couple found happiness in the short time they had together. Some of Kathy's passions were knitting and cooking and she was known for her delicious chicken riggies and Utica greens.
Kathy is survived by her husband, Sal; step-son, Tony (Elise) Comella; very special grandsons, John "Jack" and her number one shopping buddy and partner in mischief, Anthony; brother, Neil (Susan) Trotta; sister, Rosemarie (Frank) Capozzi; and nephew, Matthew Trotta.
