Seneca Falls: Lottie E. Cirone, 90, of Seneca Falls, passed away suddenly on Wednesday, October 5th, 2022. Family and friends are invited to calling hours on Thursday, October 20th from 5 - 8 PM at Doran Funeral Home, 4 East Bayard St., Seneca Falls. A Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Friday, October 21st at 10 AM at St. Patrick's Church, 97 West Bayard St., Seneca Falls. A graveside service will be held at a later date. Donations in memory may be made to the American Heart Association.
Lottie was born in Waterloo, NY on September 1, 1932. She was the daughter of the late Samuel and Emma (Giessler) Schweitz. She married William L. Cirone on November 6, 1954, and the two have been side by side for the past 68 years, residing in Seneca Falls. Lottie worked for Sylvania, and later Goulds Pumps from where she retired. In her younger years, Lottie excelled at golf. She competed in and won several tournaments; many at the Silver Creek Golf Course in Waterloo. Lottie also enjoyed spending time gardening and she enjoyed all sports, always rooting for Syracuse and the Yankees. Most of all, Lottie loved her family more than anything.
Lottie is survived by her husband, Bill, her daughters, Ellen McIntyre of Seneca Falls, Jean Cirone of Geneva, Joan (Alan) Evans of Binghamton; son, Mark (Melissa Bruder) Cirone of Phelps; six grandchildren: Collin, Madison, Megan, Joshua, Zac, and Morgan; brother, Richard (Roberta) Schweitz, as well as many family and friends. She was predeceased by her brother, Oscar "Ozzie" Schweitz, and sisters, Elsie Fridley, and Lydia Weber.
