She was united in marriage with Antonio Scialdone in Italy and later the couple emigrated to Seneca Falls in the fall of 1966. Shortly after arriving in Seneca Falls, Maria found employment with Seneca Knitting Mill in 1967 and worked there for 10 years before starting her career with Frank Knight Elementary School. Maria had many gifts she enjoyed sharing with others. She was an excellent seamstress and cook. Anybody that knew Maria knew of her ability to sew and how delicious her Italian cookies were. She enjoyed playing bocce and was an avid walker.
Maria is survived by her sons, John (Michele), Sam, Anthony (Donna), Michael; daughters, Carmela (Stephen) Kemak, Valentina Scialdone; ten grandchildren, seven great-grandchildren, and extended family. In addition to her parents, Maria was predeceased by her husband, Antonio in 2023; grandson, Stephen Kemak; brothers, Guy and Dominick DeLillo; and sister, Teresa DeLillo.
