Seneca Falls - Mary G. Caraccilo, 90, passed away peacefully on September 30, 2018 surrounded by family at the home of her daughter in North East, PA.
Family and friends may attend Mary's Mass of Christian Burial on Saturday (October 6) at 11AM at St. Patrick's Church, Seneca Falls. Burial will follow in St. Columbkille Cemetery, Seneca Falls. There will be no prior calling hours. If desired, contributions may be made to St. Francis/St. Clare Parish, 25 Center St., Waterloo, NY
Mary was born March 25,1928 in Seneca Falls, NY, the daughter of the late Silvio and Emilia Galletti. She was a 1946 graduate of Mynderse Academy. A life-long member of St. Patrick's Church, Mary sang in the church's first Latin choir and was a member of the first St. Patrick's School Board. A past member of the Parish Council, she also served as President of St. Patrick's Guild and Altar Society for several years.
Mary was preceded in death by her loving husband, Francisco "Frank" Caraccilo, whom she married September 17, 1949; sisters Armida Lippa, Adelma Giovanetti, Josephine Soricone, Rose Alvaro, Angelina "Bruna" Paulino; and brother Fred Galletti.
Mary is survived by sons Steven (Jean) Caraccilo of Syracuse, NY, Francis (Gail) Caraccilo and Kevin (Kitty) Caraccilo of Seneca Falls, NY; daughters Karen (Leonard) Rose of North East, PA, Linda (John) Zambanini of Olean, NY, Marcia (Michael) O'Donnell of Canandaigua, NY, Mary (Brian) Caraccilo-Murphy of Wiliamsville, NY and Louise (Thomas) Macri of Canandaigua, NY; grandchildren Heather Rose, Joseph Rose and Julianne (Neil) McCord; Kristy (Ted) Kelley and Nicholas (Kristen) Caraccilo; Jeffrey, Jordan and Brady Zambanini; Jadon, Ethan and Jillian O'Donnell; Charlotte Murphy; Matthew, Andrew and Michael Macri and 7 great-grandchildren. She is further survived by her sister Evelyn Chiodo; brothers-in-law Vincent (Jan) Caraccilo, Gene Caraccilo, Robert (Marie) Caraccilo and Ernest Peck; sister-in-law Kay Caraccilo and many nieces and nephews.
