Mary E. Dyson (King), 33, of Watertown, NY, died suddenly in a tragic car accident on Saturday, October 6, 2018. She was born on May 9, 1985, in Plattsburgh, NY, to Thomas and Linda King. She is survived by her son Isaac Dyson, her parents Thomas and Linda King, two brothers Christopher (Kerri) Schramm of Massapequa Park, NY, Thomas A. King (Bethany) of Fultonville, NY, one sister Jennifer Guerin (Floyd) of Chazy Lake, NY, mother-in law Dawn Dyson, brother in-law Derek Dyson (Anne), her nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles and cousins. She was predeceased by her grandparents Adrian and Marie King of Dannemora, NY, and George and Marie Janos of Milwaukee, WI, Uncles Rick Janos, Steve King, Aunt Betty King, Cousin Gary King and Father-in-law Earl Dyson. Mary passed along with her husband Robert Dyson, her three sisters Abigail Jackson, Allison King and Amy Steenburg and with her brothers-in-law, Adam Jackson and Axel Steenburg.
Mary was a graduate of Greater Amsterdam School District and Clarkson University with a degree in Civil Engineering. Mary was a veteran of the U.S. Army, attaining the rank of Captain. Mary served in Iraq for one year building schools in El Basra. Mary was a coach at Star Spangled Cross Fit in Watertown, NY. At the time of her passing, Mary was a co-owner of Upstate Construction Company. Mary was a devoted wife to Robert and loving mother to her beautiful son Isaac.
Calling hours will be Friday, October 12, 2018 from 3-7 at St. Stanislaus Church, 50-52 Cornell St. Amsterdam. Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated on Saturday, October 13, 2018 at St. Stanislaus Church at 1 PM. Additionally, there will be calling hours on Saturday, October 20, 2018 at the Doran Funeral Home, 4 East Bayard Street in Seneca Falls from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. There will be a private burial at the convenience of the family. A celebration of life will follow calling hours. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Archer and Elle Jackson and Isaac Dyson for their futures.
