Nancy L. (Webb) Tewksbury

Nancy L. Tewksbury passed away peacefully on Wednesday, March 20, 2024, at the M.M. Ewing Continuing Care Center. A private graveside service will be held at the convenience of the family. Memorial contributions may be made to Sonnenberg Gardens, 250 Gibson Street, Canandaigua, NY 14424.

Nancy was born on June 19, 1936 to Francis and Elizabeth (Freeland) Webb in Seneca Falls, NY. Throughout her life she was a devoted wife, mother, and grandmother who loved her family dearly. Nancy was blessed with a green thumb whether it be her outside vegetable and flower gardens or the beautiful flower arrangements she created. She loved reading and would always be found with a book in hand. She grew up on Cayuga Lake and spent many summers at their lake cottage with her husband and children where they made many wonderful memories. She and Lynn raised their family in Phelps, NY. Her children have fond memories of her extra effort in making holidays and birthdays very special for them. In addition to raising her family she supplemented the family income selling Tupperware, Fuller Brush, running a home bakery for the community, a home day care, and when the children grew older worked at Sibley's before retiring from BOCES in Newark, NY.

She is survived by her daughters Debra (Joseph) Fragnoli, Susan (Karl) Weaver, Julie (Cris) Brown; sons Robert (Diane) Tewksbury and Keith (Cindi) Tewksbury; sister-in law, Josie Tewksbury; eleven grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; several nephews and one niece. She was predeceased by her husband Lynn and her parents Francis and Elizabeth.
