Norma H. Putney

Seneca Falls: Norma passed away on Monday, December 27th, 2020 at The Homestead at Soldiers and Sailors Hospital in Penn Yan, at the age of 105. A private graveside service will be held at Lake View Cemetery in Ithaca, at the convenience of the family.

Born in Elmira, NY, the daughter of the late George and Alice (Dibble) Gray, Norma came to live in Seneca Falls. One who was never shy of work, Norma was able to work well into her 80's , and retire from Seneca Knitting Mill. After retiring, she volunteered at the Seneca Falls Historical Society gift shop. Norma enjoyed her crossword puzzles and cross stitching.

In addition to her parents, Norma is predeceased by her husband, George M. Putney and grandson, Jason Putney. Survived by her children, Gale Ludd, Valorie (Michael) Annetta, Charles (Patty) Putney, Janis (Jeff) Williams, Renee (John) Caratozzolo, 10 grandchildren, 17 great-grandchildren, and several great-great-grandchildren as well as many nieces, nephews, and extended family.
