Rose C. Piscitelli, 89, lifelong resident of Seneca Falls, passed away on Saturday, January 11th, 2025, at her home with her family at her side. Her Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Monday, January 20th at 10 AM at St. Patrick’s Church, Seneca Falls. She and her late husband, Anthony, will be laid to rest together in the New York State Veterans Cemetery – Finger Lakes at the convenience of the family. In lieu of flowers, donations in memory may be made to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital at stjude.org.
Rose was born in Seneca Falls, the daughter of the late Luca and Jenny (Cammuso) Carbone. She was a 1953 graduate of Mynderse Academy. On June 4th, 1955, she was united in marriage with Anthony Piscitelli, the couple sharing in 63 years together until Anthony’s passing in 2018. For 25 years, Rose worked as a medical secretary for Dr. Peter D’Silva, at both his Seneca Falls and Waterloo offices, until she retired.
Rose enjoyed involving herself in some of the civic organizations in the area, including, the Seneca Falls Garden Club where she was a member and past president; Seneca Falls Historical Society, and Taylor Brown Auxiliary.
Rose always enjoyed spending time with her family. When Anthony was still living, the couple enjoyed taking day trips to the Adirondacks, especially the Old Forge and Inlet areas. They enjoyed the quietness of the wilderness and the companionship of being together. Rose was also a very devoted mother and grandmother. She loved to spend time with her grandchildren.
Rose is survived by her daughters, Rosanne Piscitelli-Knight and Joanne (John) Wood; sons, Anthony (June) and Stephen (Debbie) Piscitelli; 6 grandchildren, Steven Knight, Travis (Nikki) Wood, Hannah (David) Pannucci, Brett (Eve Fuller) Wood, Joseph Piscitelli, Robert Piscitelli; 6 great-grandchildren, Camden and Naomi Wood, Cameron and Jayden Knight, Claire and Olivia Pannucci; brothers-in-law, Joseph (Marianne) Piscitelli and Ronald (Nancy) Piscitelli; several nieces, nephews, and extended family. In addition to Anthony, Rose was predeceased by her brother, Larry (Barbara) Carbone; sister, Mary (Vince) Scaglione; favorite aunt, Rose Romeo; sisters-in-law, Carolyn (Nick) Felice and Mary (Howard) Tanner; son-in-law, Robert L. Knight.
