Seneca Falls -Simba I. Modeste, 19, of S. Parker Rd., Seneca Falls, NY, died, unexpectedly, Saturday (August 11, 2012) at Strong Memorial Hospital, Rochester, NY as a result of injuries received in an auto accident in Seneca County. Family and friends may call at the Doran Funeral Home, 4 E. Bayard St., Seneca Falls, on Wednesday (August 15) from 4 - 7 PM. A Memorial Service for Simba will be held on Thursday (August 16) at 11 AM at the Auditorium at Romulus Central School, 5705 Main St., Romulus, NY. In lieu of flowers, Simba's family requests donations be made to Romulus Central School Sunshine Committee, 5705 Main St., Romulus, NY 14541 to help families in need within the Romulus Central School District. Simba was born in Miami Beach, Florida on July 11, 1993 the son of the late Alicia N. Jackson. He had resided in the Canoga area for 11 years moving from Miami Beach. He was a graduate of Romulus Central School and was currently attending Finger Lakes Community College. Simba was a great lover of basketball and had played basketball, soccer and track & field through his high school years at Romulus Central School. He was a lifetime Boy Scout. Simba enjoyed his time with his friends & his dog Oreo. One of Simba's favorite pastimes was listening to music and writing some of his own lyrics. He also was a United Way summer youth intern and he participated in the "Alternate Spring Break" along with being a volunteer for Habitat for Humanity. He is survived by: His grandmother, Maureen (Robert) Weller - Seneca Falls, NY His aunt, Amanda (Aaron) Pundt and their children, Samantha, Griffin, & Isaac of Seneca Falls, NY His other close aunts, uncles, and cousins.
