Valeta M (Page) Lafler

Valeta Mae Lafler Seneca Falls - Valeta Mae Lafler, 105 formerly of Walnut St., Seneca Falls, NY passed away on Monday (July 24, 2017) at Geneva General Hospital, Geneva, NY. Valeta was born on January 10, 1912 in Middlesex, NY to the late Nora and Charles Page. She met and married Lawrence Lafler and together they moved to Seneca Falls to raise their two boys Laverne "Sonny" and Byron. Valeta had many joys and adventures in this life .Her greatest joy was her family. From baking cookies to playing rummy and drinking tea her kitchen was the heart of her home. Her adventures took her on shopping trips with friends to weekends away with the girls. Her favorite adventure lead her to Hawaii and her love of the Islands brought her back a second time. Valeta loved being a grandma and always crotched a pink or blue outfit for the new babies in the family to wear home from the hospital. She loved her babies. Valeta was predeceased by her husband Larry, her son Byron and her great granddaughter Kelly Mahoney. She is survived by her son Laverne (Elaine) Lafler, and daughter in law Ann Lafler, six grandchildren Chuck (Gail) Lafler, Beth (Steve) Gravetti, James (Tamera) Lafler, Lisa (Tom) Smith, Jennifer (Brian) Alexander, Richard (Tara) Lafler. Thirteen Great Grandchildren and ten Great Great Grandchildren. All who love her and will miss her. Funeral services and burial will be at the convenience of the family.
