Seneca Falls - Vito J. Ceo, 94 of Troy St., Seneca Falls, NY, died Sunday (December 20, 2015) at Seneca Nursing & Rehabilitation Center, Waterloo, NY. Family and friends may call at the Doran Funeral Home, 4 E. Bayard St., Seneca Falls on Sunday, December 27th from 2:00PM to 5:00PM. Vito's Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Monday, December 28th at 10 AM at St. Patrick's Church, 97 W. Bayard St., Seneca Falls by Reverend James Fennessy, Pastor. Burial will be in St. Columbkille Cemetery, Seneca Falls at the convenience of the family. If desired, contributions may be made to St. Patrick's Church, 25 Center St., Waterloo, NY 13165. Vito was born In Seneca Falls on July 18, 1921 the son of the late Rocco & Mary Gravina Ceo. He was a life resident of Seneca Falls and was a Sergeant in the U.S. Army during World War II serving his country on both the Pacific and Atlantic fronts. Vito, along with his late business partner, Herky Rutz, owned and operated Ceo & Rutz Shoe Store for many years. After his retirement Vito found himself back selling shoes at SAS Shoe Store at the Outlet Mall. He was a member of St. Patrick's Church, the SMS, & Rumseyville Sportsman's Club, all of Seneca Falls. Vito had a strong commitment and dedication to downtown Seneca Falls. He was past president of the Seneca Falls Downtown Business Association. He also had been active in the Aqua Festival that was held years back in Seneca Falls. Vito, along with Mark Sinicropi, were instrumental in getting the current Seneca Falls Community Center underway and built. He was an avid golfer and belonged to the Seneca Falls County Club for many years. Vito was a past board member of the State Bank and Norstar Bank of Seneca Falls. He is survived by: 2 daughters - Dorothy Sinicropi - Seneca Falls, NY Mary (Vincent) Sinicropi - Seneca Falls, NY 9 grandchildren - Heather (Jeff) Camelio, Katie (Chris) Clemenson, Gabrielle, Dominick, & Patrick Sinicropi, Jenna (Stu) Crandall, Judy (Mark Wentzel) Sinicropi, Jamie (Derrick) Oberdorf, & Vito Sinicropi. 5 great grandchildren -Dominic and Isabella Camelio, Simon Crandall, and Finnegan and Fiona Clemenson. He is also survived by several nieces and newphews. In addition to his parents, Vito was predeceased by his wife, Judy Muldoon Ceo who died January 3, 1988, one brother, Carmen Ceo who died June 23, 2014, one sister, Carmella Nastri who died December 2, 2005, & his son-in-law, Donny Sinicropi who died June 1, 2015.
