Seneca Falls - William "Bill" H. Hoover, 73, of Seneca Falls, NY, died, Wednesday (April 16, 2014) at his residence surrounded by his loving family. Family and friends may call at the Doran Funeral Home, 4 E. Bayard St., Seneca Falls, On Thursday, (April 24, 2014) from 4 to 7PM. Funeral services will be held on Friday, (April 25, 2014) at 10AM at St. Patrick's Church, Bayard St., Seneca Falls, NY where a Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated by Reverend Roy Kiggins. William was born in Stroudsburg, PA on August 12, 1940, the son of the late William and Evelyn (Morris) Hoover. William was a Veteran of The United States Army. He resided in Seneca Falls since 1976, coming from Rome, NY and was a member of St. Patrick's Church, Seneca Falls. He was retired from Goulds Pumps, Inc. William was also a member of the Elks Lodge #992 for 23 years. He loved to take his hourly walk and ride his bike around town. In addition, William enjoyed to cook for his family and frequently visited Antonina's on Bayard Street. He was an active bowler and an avid reader. He is survived by: His wife Joanne (Simone) Hoover, whom he married on July 18, 1964 Step-Mother - Lucille Hoover, Geneva, NY 1 - Son - Michael (Charlotte) Hoover, Seneca Falls, NY 1 - Daughter - Maria (David) O'Connor, Hampton Bays, NY 1 - Brother - Jay (Ginnie) Hoover, Bellona, NY 1 - Sister - Bertha Maynard, Canandaigua, NY 1 - Step-Sister - Karen (Vern) Wirke, Manhattan, Kansas 5 - Grandchildren - Mary (Dustin) Spiller; Brandyn, Ashley, & Victoria Cecelia Hoover; Madison Jean & Alexandra Grace O'Connor 6 - Great Grandchildren - Keegan, Ethan, Nevaeh, Addison, Paysleigh, & Joseph William.
