William H. Kelsey

William H. Kelsey, 68, of Marcellus, passed away unexpectedly on Friday, March 21st, 2025, at Upstate University Hospital in Syracuse.

Bill was born in Seneca Falls, NY, son of Raymond and Alice (Hulby) Kelsey. He graduated from Mynderse Academy and went on to further his education at SUNY Fredonia where he received a bachelor’s degree. Bill had worked as a Market Supervisor for Nielsen for over 30 years and had recently retired.

Over the years, Bill enjoyed many adventures with his family and friends. He enjoyed his annual camping trips with his close friends, golfing trips and family vacations with his son, and travelling to spend time with his grandchildren. In addition, Bill enjoyed reading and frequently donated to several charitable organizations, both local and national.

Bill is survived by his son, Patrick (Gretchen) Kelsey; grandchildren, Grace, Charlotte, Francis, and Peter; mother, Alice Kelsey; brothers, David, Paul, and Charlie (Marie) Kelsey; sister, Eleanor (Ray) Dolin; several nieces and nephews; sisters-in-law, Johanna Pipher, Carol O’Brien, Amy Faicco; and brother-in-law, Bob Marzella. In addition to his wife, Libby, Bill was predeceased by his father, Raymond Kelsey, and brother, John Kelsey.

Visitation will be held on Saturday, May 3rd from 10AM till 12NOON with a funeral service to follow, at Doran Funeral Home, 4 East Bayard St., Seneca Falls. He will be buried in St. Columbkille Cemetery next to his late wife, Libby. In lieu of flowers, donations in memory may be directed to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital at StJude.org.
